on banning the opening of Banquet hall if the road is less than 80 feet is width.
At present Banquet halls are mushroomed all over the city in many congested
areas and lanes. Now no marriage grounds or banquet halls can be functional if
the width of road is less than 80 feet. JDA has added this new regulation in
Development’s promotion and control regulation volume master plan. Also it has
been declared that marriage ground and banquet halls will have minimum space of
2000 square meters.
Also guidelines have been given to open tourism unit for
increasing tourism and entertainment activities. Now these tourism units would

These are included in tourism units and entertainment
complexes-
Watch and Ward residence, residential flats for maintenance
staff, Cinema hall, Ground for people, Logistics restaurant, Bank, Post and
telegraph office, Library, exhibition center etc.
Under Nagar Nigam guidelines there are 32 points which have
to be covered and followed for banquet halls and marriage grounds but most of
these rules are not being followed. Nigam also just focuses on licensee amount
and city tax. Parking, firefighting system and other important points are being
ignored. It has been said that 25 percent area should be left for parking but
there is no mention of width of road and area of marriage ground minimum
requirements.

The biggest challenge is to get the work completed in 3 years along with permissions and budget. It is a big question to decide about the funder of 1470 crore rupees Mega Project. The government has put this responsibility on JDA’s shoulders. At present, the financial condition of JDA is also not sound. 50 crores would be spent each month to clean the Dravyawati River.STP would be placed to clean the dirty water. According to JDC Shikhar Agarwal, “There would be rapid development in the work on Dravyawati River. Tata would work in an amount of 50 crores each month. JDA is
building 5 feet wide footpaths on both sides of the road in Nemi Sagar colony
in Vaishali Nagar without removing encroachment. The residents of this colony
have created 15 feet ramps outside their houses and developed encroached
gardens. After the development of the footpath, the 60 ft wide Vishisht marg would remain only 20 feet in width.
R S
Choudhary, a resident of Nemi Sagar colony adds, “The Vishist marg stretches from Maharaja Hotel from
Khatipura road to the Gurudwara at
Vaishali road. The local people would park their cars in front of the footpath

Now the tender process would be following shortly. The design has been inspired by JJ Flyover of Mumbai. The height of pillars would be around 8.5 feet. This would be higher than the Durgapura Flyover (7.5 feet). On other hand, the width of pillar on the road would be around 2.5 feet, which is less than the width of Durgapura Flyover (3.5 feet).
This would create more space for the vehicles and the space between two pillars would be around 30 meters.
